The Rebrand

I recently had the chance to redesign and give a new direction to my website. Why? Because I've also found a new direction — here's a quick rundown.

Over the past 8 months, I've focused on mastering the casting technique, developing the skills to finally bring my three-dimensional designs together with jewelry.

I did a lot of casting work for other people, in gold of every color and karat, and in silver too — and that work is what led me to want to focus on my own designs.

I've finally made the decision: I'm going to choose one main product and focus on perfecting its production and marketing. Of course, carrying out that plan requires intellectual, logistical, and financial resources.

I built my intellectual resources by working for others — something I treasure deeply, because it gave me the chance to learn under professional guidance. And even though it's sometimes discouraging not to be able to work on my own designs, it's an opportunity I couldn't pass up.

My logistical resources have come together through the advice of other professionals in the field, people with more experience than me — so it's been about building something new on top of what others have already learned. For example, over these past months I was able to master the machines needed for jewelry casting, and now I understand exactly what they require in terms of capacity and operation. But I've also taken into account the advice and recommendations of experts in the field.

Finally, my financial resources came simply from saving. It's not a lot, but I decided to start with the most basic essentials. As I earn more, I'll reinvest it into machines with better performance and capacity.

So, without further ado: my main product is the CHARM BRACELET. For a long time, I've been creating three-dimensional designs shaped like plump, balloon-like little animals — but at some point, I realized what I really needed to develop was the piece that would bring those charms together: a bracelet.

That bracelet needed to be different from what's already on the market, which meant it had to solve a common problem with existing options.

Through my research, I noticed that other options on the market carelessly fail to mention that excessive weight on our hands can cause injury. If anything, they encourage loading the bracelet with charms right up to its limit. That's uncomfortable, and it lacks any real sense of aesthetics.

My design brings back a memory from the past — a great idea some executive once decided to discontinue. If you're a fan of vintage charm bracelets, you'll recognize the one that inspired me: a bracelet made for 5 clips, no longer sold today.

Ultimately, my design needed to improve on that bracelet while still leaving room to add charms. After several prototypes, I achieved it with the help of a small bit of silicone. Now my bracelet needed to be tested.

After months of testing, I finally have my launch design ready — which meant it was time to redesign my main sales channel, my website, which is where this article began. More news coming soon.

Thank you so much if you're here reading about my journey — I'd love to give you a little something in return for your time. Contact me for a special discount on your first charm bracelet. Just mention that you read it here on the Blog.
